Stopped by since it was recommended by a coworker and yes the food was yummy but be prepared to wait in a line and it's a slower moving line. Its due to the food being freshly prepared which you can tell in the quality of the food. Very flavorful. Only call out is be prepared to pay in cash! I had the Rica Special which was different (pork, peppers and melted cheese with tortillas). We got to meet the owner and he helped us choose what to get, such a sweet heart. Parking can be a challenge since it's near a busy street but if Julia Child says this place is the best, you have to check it out! We loved our meal and think it was worth the wait! We had gone around 8pm and we were in line for about 30 mins so definitely prepare for that. But there's always a line.

Simple menu of a La carte items. Good prices. Line was long and moved slowly. Sat outside which was nice as they have large picnic tables with some shade. Try the pork tamale - it was so delicious! The mild, creamy tomato sauce they top it with takes it to the next level. Others had tacos and a cheese quesadilla and enjoyed them with some salsa from their extensive salsa bar. Want to go back again!

La Super-Rica Taqueria in Santa Barbara is a cash-only establishment, so make sure to bring cash as they do not accept cards or contactless payments. The food is absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options that will satisfy the entire family. From menudo, queso fundido, tacos, aguas frescas and beer you are sure to find your perfect match! While wait times can vary, be prepared to stand in line on most days. After ordering, you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Even on their busiest days, you'll eventually find a seat--everything just works out!

This is our go-to taco place when in the area. The restaurant is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with a few shops. The tacos are so delicious! It is cash only so make sure you're prepared or else you won't be able to order. You will have to park out in the street, in which we have never had problems finding parking. The seating is an open area either in their enclosed patio or outside with benches and tables, which is plentiful. Our favorite is the marinated pork and beef tacos. But there is so much more to order. There can be lines but it does move quickly and note it is worth the wait!

Excellent food and service. Tamales are the best in town. In fact, so is all of their food. I go as often as possible.

The original gourmet taco shop on Milpas in Santa Barbara - - and still the best. Have been enjoying their food during each and every visit to set up Barbara for over 35 years. NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL, naturally. Always fresh, surprisingly, fast, and so tasty that you forget it's not a fancy restaurant - - yet that covered patio atmosphere is still delightful, and allows the fresh air to emphasize the flavors of this delicious and authentic joint!

A lot of the same staff have been working here since like forever. They're always friendly, welcoming and helpful no matter how busy they are! Thank you all very much for taking excellent care of your patrons. I love the beans, taco de chorizo, taco de chile con queso with a cold Modelo Especial or a Mexican Coke. The salsa bar always has fresh and tasty options. I usually get a couple of things to go and always some fresh, made in house corn tortillas. I love La Super Rica!

Cash only ‼ a road trip to Santa Barbara had us pretty hungry and curious to see what Santa Barbara brought to the table. After a quick search, La Super Rica Taqueria was the obvious choice. Both locally loved, and a must for Tourists, we were in. As you near the little blue house in the corner, you'll be at awe of the line that curls around. You'll hear the chatter of people reminding each other that the establishment is cash-only. Thankfully, there's a nearby CVS about 5 minutes of a walking distance that saved our day.
